On Oct. 3, travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler announced its readers' choice awards, the 2023 Readers' Choice Awards. In the "Top Islands" category, Phu Quoc is the only representative of Vietnam mentioned and the second consecutive year to be honored. This list is not in general order but divided by region such as Europe, Asia, Central and South America, North America.
In the list of 10 Asian islands in the top, Phu Quoc ranked 8th with 88.89 points, standing above Japan's Okinawa & Ryuku Islands and Siargao of the Philippines. The score is rated by global readers, travel experts according to the criteria of satisfaction with the destination. In Asia, Bali, Indonesia are ranked top with 91.08 points.
Phu Quoc is the largest islands of Vietnam, famous for its pristine beaches, fine white sand, mild nature and calm, bottom-seeing water. Besides famous beaches in Fiji and Maldives, in 2015, Condé Nast Traveler readers also voted Starfish Beach of Phu Quoc in the top 10 most pristine and quiet beaches in the world.
